Prayer RugsOur prayer rugs are entirely handmade from all-natural vegetable dyes, and pure hand-spun wool. Prayer rugs have long held a special place in the hearts of collectors and the Caucasian and Turkish rugs are the best known and the most beloved. The bold designs and clear, bright colors exert a strong attraction in the beholder. Caucasian prayer rugs are known for the frequent inclusion of small animal figures and hands on either side of the arch. Although prayer rugs may have originally been made for religious purposes, they have been designed and used for their artistic and decorative value for centuries. And, yes, they can be walked on!
