Checking the Wool During Dyeing

A master dyer checks the wool numerous times during the dyeing process of making an Oriental rug. Years of experience working with natural dyes are needed to know when to remove the wool from the dye bath. Unlike chemical dyes, working with all-natural dyes each batch is different. A highly sensitive and attuned eye, coupled with knowledge, is required in order to achieve the final color desired.
