The weavers are shown coiling the wool in preparation for weaving the rug.
Weavers coil the wool to prepare for weaving. The wool used to make authentic Oriental rugs is a special kind of wool which comes only from certain parts of certain breeds of sheep. The quality of the wool is the reason that true Oriental rugs will last for generations if properly cared for.
