Gendje Rugs

Gendje rugs are a type of Caucasian rug that often feature rows of diagonal stripes or chevrons in rich, bright colors.

The design and the weaver's personal preference usually dictate the pile height, so we see Gendje rugs with either high or low pile. Historically the Gendje rug area served as a rug collection point for all the Caucasian rugs from the surrounding areas.
